Something to think about
Just recently the world researchers, analysts, and academics have been working tirelessly to warn us about the ‘said to be’ effects of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4iR). Some studies suggested that occupations employing an estimated 3.6 million workers have a 90% or greater probability of being automatable in the near future. But what these numbers mean?
South Africa is home to roughly 56 million people of which about 16 million falls under unemployment data (as per 2019 data). Now considering the projections made about 4iR and its impact of roughly all together +5 million job losses, What have our government really did to address that? except the speeches and absurd parliamentary debates of course.
Don’t answer… think of this, now we are faced with a plague that only not test our faith, not our discipline, but drive us direct to dissolution. More sadly, a demise to life but if lucky to future. Countries known to be strong (referencing the US) are said to be reaching the highest level of job losses in history, and we are a country known of highest unemployment rates anyway, now answer this, a government that failed(and will still anyway) to give a directive into 4iR which is merely a win or lose situation, should such government be trusted in a life or death situation?
But of course, its still a government right?
